Lamprey (Order: Petromyzontiformes)

 

This includes two species, Pouched Lamprey and Non-parasitic Lamprey, in the genus Mordacia, the sole genus of the family Mordaciidae, known as southern top-eyed lampreys. These are the only species within  our region within the class of jawless fish (Cephalaspidomorphi).
